Traveling with the Transcend Micro can mean dry air in unfamiliar climates. The Transcend AirMist HME packs add waterless humidification to your therapy by using an HME (Heat Moisture Exchanger) that returns moisture from your exhale to your next inhale—so you stay comfortable without a bulky water chamber. Pair it with the compact Transcend Micro Auto Travel CPAP Machine for a streamlined, carry-on friendly setup.

  • Waterless comfort: Moisturizes incoming air using your own breath humidity.
  • Easy install: Adapter sits between the hose and mask for quick setup.
  • Travel-friendly: No distilled water; cartridges pack flat and light.
  • Hygienic use: Disposable HME cartridges; fresh start every few days.
  • Clear fit rules: Works with standard 22mm hoses; not for masks with short tubing/top-of-head connections.

Waterless humidity for Transcend Micro travel therapy

Travel‑ready humidity

Keep your travel therapy comfortable—without packing distilled water. Transcend AirMist HMEs use the humidity from your exhaled breath to moisten incoming air. Choose a starter pack if you need the adapter, or a refill pack when you already have one. Cartridges are disposable for hygienic therapy.

  • Waterless humidification for Transcend Micro
  • Quick install between hose and mask
  • Disposable cartridges for clean therapy
  • Starter and refill options available

How AirMist works

AirMist is an HME (Heat Moisture Exchanger): it captures moisture from your exhale and returns it to your next inhale for more comfortable airflow. Setup and upkeep are straightforward.

  • Insert an HME cartridge into the AirMist Adapter.
  • Attach the adapter between your hose and mask.
  • Keep the adapter directly in front of your mask.
  • Replace each cartridge after 3–7 days.
  • Wash the adapter weekly with soap and water.

Setup and compatibility

The AirMist HME Adapter was designed for the Transcend Micro but works with any standard 22mm hose connection. AirMist HMEs won’t work with masks that have extended short tubing or top‑of‑head connections (e.g., AirFit P10, AirFit N20, ResMed Swift FX, AirFit F30i, DreamWear, etc.). The adapter must sit directly in front of your mask to capture moisture. Clean weekly; replace the adapter every three months.

Starter vs. Refill: Which to choose?

If you’re new to AirMist, pick a Starter Pack—it includes the required AirMist HME Adapter plus cartridges, so you have everything to begin waterless humidification.

Choose the 2 pack (one adapter + two HMEs) for a trial run or the 4 pack (one adapter + four HMEs) for extra days away.

Already have the adapter? Go with replacement cartridges, which provide replacement HME cartridges only.

Each cartridge is single‑user and should be disposed of after 3–7 days of use.

The adapter is washable weekly and should be replaced every three months to maintain performance.

FAQs about the Transcend AirMist HME

What masks can I use AirMist Waterless Humidification with?

AirMist HMEs are physically compatible with any standard CPAP mask and tubing setup with 22mm connection points.

AirMist HMEs are NOT compatible with AirMini setup pack masks and cannot function as a replacement for HumidX.

AirMist HMEs will NOT work well with masks that connect to tubing above the head (such as the AirFit P30i, DreamWear Masks, or AirTouch F30i) OR masks that connect to tubing via a short flexible tube at the front of the mask (such as the AirFit P10, Nova Micro, or AirFit F40).

AirMist HMEs (and other waterless humidifiers) are only effective for masks that connect to tubing directly in front of the face (such as the AirFit F30, AirFit F20, or ComfortGelBlue masks).

How does waterless humidification work?

Waterless humidification works by recycling moisture captured from the air you breathe out, back into your therapy air. For this reason, it is most effective when placed as close to the face as possible.

I have been buying from cpap.com for many years.

I started purchasing from them because it was cheaper to buy from them than to go through insurance. Cpap.com is no hassle ordering . They are very helpful when needed, such as when ordering a new machine or if I have questions about a specific product. The HME are easy to use and when traveling the HME provides sufficient moisture for up to three weeks.
