Who Is Philips Respironics?

Philips Respironics manufactures CPAP masks, supplies, accessories, and oxygen concentrators. In June of 2021, Philips issued a voluntary recall, which affected all original DreamStation CPAP, APAP, and BiPAP machines, all DreamStation Go CPAP and APAP machines, some older REMstar units, SystemOne units, and other ventilators not sold here at CPAP.com. While Philips’ machine manufacturing efforts will likely be focused on repairing affected machines until early 2023, the company continues to produce popular and well-made CPAP masks such as those from the DreamWear line.

Philips Respironics is a CPAP manufacturer with a diverse portfolio of products. Here are some of the masks, machines, and technologies from Philips Respironics: 

• DreamWear Masks: Philips Respironics produces the DreamWear line of masks, which are most notable for their hollow frame and top-of-head hose connection. Available as a full face, nasal, or nasal pillow mask, the DreamWear line is great for active sleepers due to the reduction of hose drag by connecting over the head instead of in front of it. 
• ComfortGel Masks: Another Philips innovation, ComfortGel masks use a combination of silicone and gel cushions to provide greater comfort and support and are available as either full face or nasal masks. 
• Other Standout CPAP Masks: Some of Philips Respironics’ other popular mask offerings include the Nuance and Nuance Pro Nasal Pillow Mask, the Wisp Nasal Mask, and the Amara View Full Face Mask. The Nuance and Nuance Pro offer a unique choice between a soft fabric frame and a stable gel frame. The Wisp Nasal Mask features a supportive headgear design with a similar choice between fabric or silicone frames for those with a preference for particular materials. The Amara View is a unique hybrid full face mask that seals around the mouth but under the nose rather than over it like a traditional full face mask, offering a clear line of sight while still supplying therapy air to both airways. 
• DreamStation CPAP Machines: DreamStation CPAP machines were made popular by their streamlined design and modular humidifier design. The DreamStation Go was popular for both its size and functionality as well as its optional heated humidifier. The DreamStation 2 was not affected by the recall but is unlikely to reach regular production before 2023.
• Oxygen Concentrators: Philips Respironics also produces the SimplyGo line of portable oxygen concentrators and the EverFlo line of home oxygen concentrators.
