Understanding your myAir score

Your myAir dashboard features a daily report for each therapy session. This report includes your total myAir score, plus the four factors that are added together to create that daily score.

Usage Hours

  • What does it measure? Total hours you use your CPAP each night

  • Maximum number of points? 70 points for 7+ hours of therapy

  • How is it scored? Add 10 points for every hour of therapy

  • Why does it matter? Consistent usage ensures effective treatment of your sleep apnea and leads to better sleep quality.

Mask Seal

  • What does it measure? How much air your CPAP mask leaks during therapy

  • Maximum number of points? 20 points for a leak rate of under 17 L/min

  • How is it scored? Lose 1 point for every 1–2 liters of air after you hit 16.9 L/min

  • Why does it matter? A secure mask seal ensures that your CPAP air is going where it’s supposed to.

Events Per Hour

  • What does it measure? Average number of sleep apnea and hypopnea events per hour

  • Maximum number of points? 5 points for fewer than 7 events per hour

  • How is it scored? Lose 1 point for every 1–3 additional events after 7

  • Why does it matter? Fewer events indicate that your therapy is working and your sleep apnea is under control.

Mask On/Off Events

  • What does it measure? How many times you remove your mask

  • Maximum number of points? 5 points for fewer than 3 times

  • How is it scored? Lose 1 point for each additional removal beyond

  • Why does it matter? Taking your mask off interrupts your therapy session and leads to large air leaks.
