ResMed AirFit N30i Resources

Using Your Mask for the First Time

  • Connect the air tubing from your CPAP to the mask elbow
  • Place the cushion under your nose and pull the frame over your head
  • Adjust head strap until the mask fits comfortably
  • Reattach the elbow to complete assembly

Finding the Right Mask Fit

The N30i is available in a few configurations:

Standard and Small Frame Fit Packs Include:

  • Small Cushion
  • Small-Wide Cushion
  • Medium Cushion

Alternatively, you may choose your own frame and cushion size. If you have never worn the AirFit N30i, we strongly encourage you to opt for one of the fit packs to ensure you receive a cushion that works for you.

We recommend testing each cushion size included in your fit pack to ensure you find your most effective and comfortable fit. If your mask is creating red marks, nasal soreness, or leaking air, adjust your head straps first. Then if the problem continues, try a different cushion size.

The Fit Pack is designed to fit the majority of wearers. If you find that none of the cushions fit well, you may need to try the Wide cushion, which may be purchased separately.

Choosing the Correct Frame Size

The N30i is available in two frame sizes, small or standard. Most men are encouraged to go with the standard-sized frame. Most women or those with small to petite frames are encouraged to go with the small frame size. If your frame feels too tight or too loose, we suggest sizing up or down.

How do I size the AirFit N30i?

You can use ResMed's sizing guide to help you find your best mask fit right from the comforts of home. If you still have questions about your mask fit, give us a call at 1-800-356-5221 or contact your doctor for additional fitting instructions.

Is the AirFit N30i quiet?

The AirFit N30i operates at an impressively quiet 21-24 decibels, putting it on par with the noise level of rustling leaves.

Can I use AirFit N30i with chin strap?

Yes. Chin straps are typically worn underneath the CPAP mask and headgear to provide better support, but some mask and chin strap combinations actually work better when the chin strap is worn over the CPAP mask, so be sure to experiment to find what works best for you.

Is the AirTouch N30i nasal cradle cushion compatible with the AirFit N30i?

Yes, this cushion can be used with AirFit N30i and P30i masks.

Just be sure to remove the water from the humidifier chamber before flying and put the device in Airplane Mode to disable wireless connectivity.

How often do I need to replace the air filter on my AirSense 10 AutoSet?

The AirSense 10 AutoSet has two filters - a disposable fine filter and a reusable standard filter. ResMed recommends replacing the disposable air filter every 30 days and the reusable filter every 6 months. Regular filter changes are important for ensuring your machine delivers clean, effective therapy and operates properly.

Does the AirSense 10 heated CPAP tubing work with all CPAP masks?

What Is the EPR on the ResMed AirSense 10?

Expiratory Pressure Relief (EPR) is an advanced comfort option available on some ResMed devices that helps your CPAP therapy feel more natural; as you exhale, the AirSense 10 will reduce the pressure, making it easier to breathe.

How do I clean my AirSense 10 Filter?

AirSense 10 filters are disposable rather than reusable, so cleaning them is neither required nor recommended. However, it’s a good idea to check your filter every 2 weeks and gently flick it with your finger to remove some of the trapped dust and allergens. If your filter is over 1-3 months old and has significantly darkened, grayed, or otherwise changed color, it may be a good idea to replace it.
