Rollfit XT Cushion Forms—and Keeps—a Better Seal

Improvements to the RollFit XT Cushion are designed to allow a greater range of motion without impacting the seal or causing leaks. The RollFit XT is ideal for active sleepers since it has a broader base than the original design to accommodate several sleeping positions.

Multiple Cushion Sizes, Designed to Let Active Sleepers Change Sleeping Positions

Many full face CPAP masks cannot accommodate sleeping on your side or stomach because the pressure of the pillow against the mask can cause leaks and interrupt your sleep therapy. But the Vitera cushion, which comes in three sizes, is stable and gives you the freedom to move around so you can continue your sleep therapy uninterrupted.

Forehead Support Helps Anchor Cushion

Integrated forehead support helps provide stability at the cushion, anchoring it in place while providing the extra support needed for even the most active of sleepers. This design helps prevent leaks and works to create a solid seal that can last all night long.

FAQs

More

Are the parts for this mask interchangeable with parts for the simplus?

With the exception of the swivel, which is interchangeable with the Simplus, Eson, and Vitera; the Vitera uses parts that are unique to this specific mask and are not interchangeable with other masks, including the Simplus.

What sleeping positions can this mask support?

The Vitera is exceptionally good for back sleeping, can accommodate side sleeping, and does well with active sleepers, too. Stomach sleepers should opt for a low-profile full face mask like the DreamWear Full Face or AirFit F30i.

Does the Vitera use magnetic clips?

The Vitera does not use magnetic clips for the headgear. It's safe to use for people that have certain implanted medical devices, including pacemakers and defibrillators.

How to stop full face mask leaks?

Full face masks can leak when pressure is applied from a pillow or the bed, depending on your sleeping position. The Vitera was designed with a flexible cushion, designed to give you the maximum amount of movement without breaking the seal of your mask. If you notice a mask leak as soon as you start your machine, you can usually resolve this by tightening the straps. Be careful not to overtighten, as this can put you at risk for injury.

How to breathe with a full face CPAP mask?

Breathing with a full face CPAP mask can be difficult at first, as you will initially need to adjust to the incoming pressure and synchronize your breathing. When the airflow begins, take a deep breath and then exhale. Take another breath in the same way, and then try to breathe normally. It may take a few breaths for the pressure relief features of the machine to kick in, but once that happens you should be able to breathe normally.

What’s the difference between simplus vs Vitera?

The Simplus and Vitera look very similar and share a 360-degree ball-and-socket hose joint. Outisde of that, the newer Vitera features an improved hose connector with VisiBlue highlights for easily identifiable connection points. The nasal bridge connector is also slimmer and the headgear clips are much easier to connect to the mask frame than the Simplus headgear. The Vitera headgear also corrects an issue with the Simplus headgear that allowed it to be accidentally removed when trying to adjust the fit. Finally, the RollFit cushion of the Vitera is also much softer and more effective than the Simplus cushion and is significantly more effective at containing leaks.
