CPAP Tube Brush Second Gen Features and Benefits:
- Handy Cleaning Brush with Soft Nylon Bristles
- Reduces Wear and Tear on Your Hose
- Durable Stainless Steel Wire That’s Unable to Rust
- Options for Different Sizes of CPAP Tubing
How to get an Excellent Clean
First, rinse a mixture of mild detergent and lukewarm water through your CPAP hose. Next, you’ll insert your Second-Generation CPAP Tube Brush into your hose, placing the CPAP brush end first into your hose. Once fully inserted into your hose, you’ll gently scrub the inside liner with short strokes as you pull the brush back out. Lastly, give your hose a quick rinse with just water.
Be sure to note, the second generation CPAP Tube Brush is five feet long and will not span the entire length of standard CPAP tubing, as it is six feet long. The CPAP Tube Brush is intended to be inserted into one end at a time and pulled back out at the same end, rather than pulling the CPAP Tube brush through the entire tube at once.
Reduces Wear and Tear on Your Hose
With the innovative fan-tipped brush, pressure is reduced on the inner wall of your hose, helping to extend its lifespan.
Durable Stainless Steel That’s Unable to Rust
Adding stainless steel to the CPAP Tube Brush Second Gen prolongs the life of the brush and eliminates the worry of rust after use.
General Tips Section
Hose Size Compatibility
If you use standard 22mm hoses, then the 19mm brush will be the size for you. Although your 22mm hose has an opening of 22mm, the inner diameter is 19mm, making the 19mm brush the correct option. If you use SlimLine CPAP tubing, it will have an inner diameter of 15mm, making the 15mm option the one for you.
First Time Use Tips
Instructions for Use:
- While holding both ends of your CPAP cleaning brush, unwind and straighten it carefully. To avoid fatigue on the stem by winding and unwinding, we suggest you find somewhere to hang the brush.
- Before using the brush, wash the brush head with a mild detergent and warm water. Afterward, use cool water to rinse thoroughly.
- We recommend cool or luke-warm water because hot water can dry out plastics and shorten the lifespan of your CPAP tubing.
- While keeping the hose as straight as possible to prevent unnecessary wear or damage, carefully work the brush back and forth in short and gentle movements, gradually working deeper into the hose.
- After scrubbing about halfway through the tube, insert your tube brush into the opposite end of the tube to begin cleaning the other end.
- Avoid using aggressive movements while cleaning your hose, as this can cause damage.
- Thoroughly rinse your hose with cool water after cleaning.
- To dry the interior of your hose, connect it to your CPAP machine and allow it to run for approximately 15 minutes or until the interior moisture has evaporated.
- Gently dry the bristles by patting them with a towel or cloth then hang your tube brush in a room with good air circulation.
