Adding waterless humidification to your therapy with the Transcend Micro Travel CPAP is quick and easy with Transcend AirMist HME packs! The HME, or Heat Moisture Exchanger, uses humidity from your exhaled breath to humidify incoming air for greater comfort while traveling with your CPAP. Choose between a simple starter pack with one adapter and two HME cartridges, an expanded starter pack with one adapter and four HME cartridges, or a refill pack with four HME cartridges, depending on your needs.

About the Transcend AirMist HME Adapter

The Transcend HME adapter is a two-piece plastic housing unit for the AirMist HME cartridge and is necessary to add waterless humidification to your Transcend Micro. The bottom portion of your AirMist Adapter attaches to your CPAP hose, while the top attaches to your mask. Insert an HME cartridge into the bottom part of the adapter, then attach and screw in the top of the adapter. After this, connect your hose and mask at either end and enjoy humidified air with your CPAP therapy without a bulky water chamber.

AirMist HME Adapters should be cleaned weekly with soap and water and replaced every three months.

*Compatibility Note : The Transcend HME Adapter is only compatible with the Micro Standard 6 ft Hose or Micro AirFlex 6 ft Hose.

Compatibility Note: Transcend AirMist HMEs* will not work on masks with extended short tubing or top-of-head hose connections, such as the AirFit P10, AirFit N20, ResMed Swift FX, AirFit F30i, DreamWear Masks, etc. The HME Adapter must be placed directly in front of your mask to capture moisture from your breath.

About the Transcend AirMist HME Cartridge The AirMist HME Cartridge is essentially a piece of foam in a plastic shroud. The cartridge inserts into the AirMist HME Adapter to capture the moisture from your breath and redistributes it into your therapy air. AirMist HME Cartridges should be disposed of after 3 to 7 days of use and cannot be cleaned. First Time Use Tips To Install your AirMist HME Adapter and AirMist HME Cartridge: Remove the HME cartridge from the foil package. Handle by the plastic shroud, not the foam core.Unscrew the HME adapter bottom from the HME adapter top and place the HME cartridge inside the HME adapter bottom.Place the HME adapter top onto the HME adapter bottom and gently turn the top until the adapter compresses together on the HME cartridge.Securely attach the HME adapter bottom to your hose.Securely attach the HME adapter top to your mask.

Cleaning / Maintenance Tips

The AirMist HME Cartridge is not cleanable and should be replaced after three to seven days of use.

The AirMist HME Adapter should be cleaned after every week of use, or whenever you replace your AirMist HME Cartridge.
