Using Your Machine for the First Time

When your machine first arrives, there is no need to set the therapy pressure, as this was done before we shipped it to you. To prepare your machine for the first use:

  • Insert air filter
  • Connect the hose to the machine and your mask, ensuring the connections are tight on both
  • Connect power cord to your machine
  • Insert SD card
  • Fill water tank
  • Plug power cord into the wall outlet or battery
  • Put on mask and adjust headgear as needed
  • Turn out machine and begin therapy

Luna G3 Series App Compatibility

Every night your machine will generate a QR code, which will appear on the machine's display screen. When scanned with the 3B Luna QR App, available for Apple (App Store) and Android (Google Play), it will generate a report for your last therapy session.

FAA/TSA Compliance

  • Your CPAP equipment is considered a necessary medical device
  • Federal law allows you to take this machine on any aircraft when flying domestically within the United States
  • It’s best to carry your device onto the plane to minimize the risk of damage during flight
  • CPAP machines cannot legally be counted against you as a carry-on item while flying domestically
  • Contact the airline a few days before your flight if you plan to use your machine on the plane
  • If using in-flight, put the device in “Airplane Mode”

Water Chamber Tips

  • Do not fill the water chamber above the maximum fill line
  • Use only room-temperature distilled water
  • Do not put any chemicals or additives into your CPAP water 
  • Always empty water tank before transporting your machine
  • Do not turn the humidifier on without the water tank installed

Hose Tips

  • Disconnect the hose and hang it to dry after each use
  • Machine must be adjusted to the proper tube setting to ensure accurate therapy pressure
  • Auto Climate Control feature only functions while connected to heated tubing

BiPAP ST Mode Warning

This machine is not a BiPAP ST and does not offer Spontaneous and Timed responses to breathing events, only spontaneous responses to inhalation breaths. It will not meet the needs of someone prescribed a BiPAP ST or BiLevel ST. This machine cannot be purchased with a prescription for a BiPAP ST machine.

Machine Part Replacement Schedule

  • Disposable Filter: Every 2-4 Weeks
  • Reusable Filter: Every 3-6 Months
  • Hose: Every 3-6 Months
  • Water Chamber: Every 6 Months
  • CPAP Machine: Every 5 Years

Daily Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Empty the water chamber and detach machine hose
  • Rinse each thoroughly in warm water
  • Wipe the tank with a clean disposable cloth or CPAP wipe
  • Allow the tank to air dry fully
  • Hang hose to drip dry
  • Keep away from direct sunlight or excess heat

Weekly Cleaning

  • Wash the water chamber and hose in warm water with mild soap
  • Rinse thoroughly to remove all remaining soap
  • Allow water chamber and hose to sit in a solution of 2 parts distilled vinegar and 3 parts warm water
  • Rinse with warm water
  • Allow water chamber to air dry fully
  • Hang hose to drip dry fully
  • Wipe the exterior of the device with a dry cloth
