There are special circumstances or needs for this mask such as a patient who leaks air out of the corner of their eyes or has a facial condition preventing the use of a nasal or full face mask. Like a full face mask, a total face mask equalizes pressures for even delivery of treatment. However, this mask encompasses the entire face to cover all openings on the face where air might escape, such as the eyes.
The mask cushion cannot be replaced. If you notice increased leaks or that the seal has become degraded, consider replacing the entire mask.
Where do I find the size?
The cushion is not replaceable.
The mask frame does not have an identifiable size because the unit is sold as one piece. To find the size of the unit, look for the marking on the cushion. With the mask turned upside down, look at the flat bottom of the cushion, where the frame connects to the silicone. A large circle with a letter is found directly in the middle of the bottom of the cushion. The letter indicates the size of the entire unit.
Fit and Sizing Guides
Currently, the manufacturer is packaging this mask with grey headgear. There may be an opening at the back of the headgear. Whether or not there is an opening, the headgear will function as it should.
Two sizes fit most adults. NOT for side sleepers but work well for users on their back.
Early models of the FitLife Full Face Mask came with two elbows. The blue elbow is an alternative Non-Ventilated elbow. Use this only with a ventilator equipped with adequate alarms and safety systems for ventilator failure. A typical CPAP device will not have adequate alarms and safety systems.
The Headgear for FitLife Total Face CPAP Masks come in three sizes:
- Small - Part Number 1060807
- Large - Part Number 1060808
- Extra Large - Part Number 1089990
The Small FitLife comes packaged with the small headgear, the Large FitLife comes package with the large headgear and the Extra Large FitLife comes packaged with the extra-large headgear. Colors vary and do not affect the function of the headgear. The headgear may or may not have a cutout on the back head strap, performance is not affected by this design change.
Swivel Note: In some instances, the swivel that attaches to the elbow on the Fitlife mask to connect a CPAP hose comes packaged unattached. Simply attach the swivel by snapping to the elbow and then connect the hose for use.
